Throughout its history, the Squadron has grown, modernized, and adapted to the demands of each era
Fuji Metalock Brasil was one of the sponsors of the commemorative event marking the 203rd anniversary of the Brazilian Navy Squadron, a milestone that celebrates more than two centuries of dedicated service to the defense of national sovereignty and the protection of Brazilian jurisdictional waters, known as the Blue Amazon.
Officially founded on November 10, 1822, shortly after Brazil’s Independence, the Brazilian Squadron had its beginnings symbolized by the first hoisting of the National Flag aboard a warship: the Martim de Freitas ship-of-the-line, later renamed Pedro I. This moment marked the start of a tradition that has spanned generations and remains alive to this day.
Throughout its history, the Squadron has grown, modernized, and adapted to the demands of each era, incorporating new vessels and technologies, taking part in conflicts, diplomatic missions, international operations, humanitarian assistance actions and ongoing patrol and protection activities along Brazil’s extensive coastline. It has thus become a symbol of the country’s Marine vocation and the guardian of its maritime wealth.
Fuji Metalock Brasil’s participation as a sponsor of this event represents recognition of the historical and strategic importance of the Squadron to Brazil. The company operates in the supply of equipment and components for the Marine and Offshore sectors, contributing to the efficient and safe operation of maritime transportation.
The commemorative date also highlights the daily work of sailors, marines and civilian personnel who, with professionalism and dedication, ensure the continuity of maritime operations and the fulfillment of the Naval Force’s institutional missions.
Fuji Metalock Brasil congratulates the Brazilian Navy Squadron on its 203 years of history and wishes that its work continues to contribute to the protection of the territory, the people, and the nation’s interests at sea.
